The Lioness Database is a unified human rights documentation system for Iran. It aggregates records from multiple independent sources to create a comprehensive, cross-referenced account of individuals affected by state violence.

Privacy and Dignity

We take the privacy of individuals and their families seriously. Records can be restricted or hidden at the request of family members. All citizen reporter identities are cryptographically hashed and never stored in plaintext.
